We had a festive burger and it was delicious. The ale selection was broad, with plenty of styles and strengths, and the beer was as fresh as a daisy. The place was packed, every table taken and standing room only for a while. There’s a busy bar area with a pool table, and lively, friendly locals having a great evening. This is everything a good pub should be, a model for others. I’m looking forward to coming back.

We come here more often than we’d probably admit, and it’s never let us down. The food’s great, there’s plenty of good beer to choose from, and the service is lovely every time. It’s also really dog friendly. You won’t find a better pub.

The roast portions were generous, and the “I want it all” option is perfect if you’re greedy or can’t make up your mind. Service stayed friendly and attentive even with the place super busy. Amazing Sunday lunch, would recommend, and I’ll be back soon.

A lovely cosy pub, one of the best in South Wales. It’s got a nice fireplace and a great restaurant area, while still keeping that traditional old pub feel.

The food was a real surprise, seriously delicious stuff, not your usual pub grub. They’ve also got a great range of independent beers. Service took a bit longer than I expected, but it’s still a great place to visit for a pint or a proper meal.
