Premier Inn East Midlands Airport

Kia training a new starter sounded completely natural. You could hear how much care she puts into her job. The whole team made me feel welcome, including Chris, Emily, Corey, Daniella, Amy and Pamela. Rooms are bloody lovely too. Staff like this deserve to be cherished, and given pay rises 😁 I’m looking forward to coming back. I’d missed Daniella, Amy and Pamela in my first review, so I wanted to add them. We were so relieved when Daniella managed to find us a room at the Premier Inn, even though the hotel was already full and she was working late. Our flight had been diverted because of the recent snow, and with every hotel booked, the alternative was spending the night in the East Midlands Airport arrivals lounge. It was late and the winter landscape around us felt deserted. The full English breakfast the next morning was first class. We can’t recommend the hotel and its staff highly enough.

The manager, Christopher, made a bad stay even worse. When we raised concerns, he came across as panicked, dismissive and unkind instead of dealing with them calmly and respectfully. There was no feeling of accountability or care for guests. The hotel itself felt neglected and badly managed. Our room and the common areas were dirty and disorganized, with cleanliness well below what I’d expect from a place with this reputation. Cleanliness, organization and professional management all fell short. I was extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying here. I hope they make serious improvements.

Amy behind the bar was great, chatting with me and suggesting drinks. The food was perfect, and little touches like biscuits and infused fruit water on arrival were thoughtful. At reception, Kia was friendly and especially helpful when I couldn’t work out the car parking. She even stepped outside to make sure another guest got the help he needed. Incredible stay, the best Premier Inn I’ve been to. I’ll definitely be back.
