The staff made for a comfortable stay, and the food and drinks were very good despite the limited menu. A hotter cup of tea at breakfast would help, since the dispenser water wasn't boiling, and the Beef Madras could use more spice. The EV chargers in the car park weren't working because the app was very poor, rated 1.5/5. I'd definitely stay again.

Most everything else was OK, but the room started out absolutely freezing. There'd been no preheating, and with the cold weather outside it was just as cold indoors. The air con didn't put out anything like the temperature shown on the control panel, so I had to leave the hairdryer running for half an hour. It eventually got OK after a few hours. The shower was also rather low on water because of the water-saving device attached to it.

The staff were first class, every one of them. The hot breakfast food was good, but there wasn't much choice, and what my family tried didn't all seem fresh. The room felt tired and the bathroom was stained. The people deserve top marks, though the rooms and food could definitely be better.

My daughter and I came on a Caledonian Mystery Tour and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, even when a few complaints came up because some food had run out. They fixed that quickly. Breakfast was excellent, and the evening meal tasted lovely and home cooked, with lovely desserts and a good choice of main courses. For the price, we thought it was more than a 3 star hotel, and it should be a 4 star because the service was excellent.

The room had loads of space, a big bathroom and TV, comfy beds, and tea, coffee, a kettle and water provided. It was the best Ibis we've stayed at, with a great location close to Leeds, Xscape and the outlet village. Highly recommended!
