Those homemade puddings were a brilliant finish, and the Sunday roast at Hornsbury Mill was one of the best lunches we've had. The fresh vegetables came in an unbelievable variety, far more than we could eat, and every one was cooked perfectly. The beef was spot on, while the lamb and pork were tender, full of flavour and clearly high quality. The staff were a joy, warm and friendly, and you could tell they were proud of their work. The meal was beautifully put together, with exceptional value for money. In a setting this lovely, the whole team is getting things right in an incredibly tough industry. We've been converted, no more carveries for us. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back.

We loved watching the working waterwheel and seeing how closely the place is connected to its past. George the resident peacock was a handsome boy, too. Our room was cosy, comfortable and clean, with a beautiful four poster bed. The grounds were lovely, with a lake and peaceful riverside spot where we could relax with a refreshment. Staff made us feel welcome throughout, and the food was excellent from breakfast through dinner. We were so glad we picked this wonderful hotel for our anniversary. Every minute felt special, thank you.

The restaurant is the icing on the cake, especially with the exposed waterwheel, and the new chef, Chris, is sure to put it on the map. The food is sublime and high end, yet really good value. I absolutely adore this little hotel and stay as often as I can. It's set in a beautiful spot, and the rooms are all different, full of character, comfortable and equipped with the amenities you'd expect. The staff are friendly and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is beautifully cooked, with lots of options.

We've had two fabulous little nights away here. The rooms are quiet, cosy and spotless, with fresh modern bathrooms and plenty of thoughtful touches. The beds are lovely, with soft fresh linen and fluffy pillows. Breakfast is outstanding and the staff are super. We also had a fantastic Sunday lunch, with generous portions, loads of piping hot vegetables and jugs of steaming gravy. An absolute little gem!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hornsbury Mill. Everything felt fresh and spotless, and the whole team was welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing, from breakfast cooked to order to afternoon tea and a wide choice of evening meals. There was a good variety of delicious drinks, too. 100% recommend.
