The Colesbourne Inn

We enjoyed breakfast so much that we looked forward to it every day, and the rooms were kept beautifully and felt really cozy. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout, and so kind that they started to feel like family. When we called just after landing, they let us check in hours early. We had such a great trip that we extended our flights. Sophie, Tracey, Carol, Georgia and Jake, thank you for making it so special. We can’t say enough good things and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The food was the highlight of our weekend stay. The fish and chips, burger, and bacon chop were divine, and the gluten-free sticky toffee pudding was heaven. I’ve been coming here to eat for over twenty years, and we’ll be back again. The staff were lovely, especially head of housekeeping Carol, who did so much for us, and Millie and Jake, always smiling, helpful, and full of energy and tips on food and drink. We had to change rooms because the beds weren’t comfortable. Carol sorted it out, and the second room was better, though the beds still creaked. The place is gorgeous and the ambience is lovely, but we didn’t sleep well, so I’ve taken off a star. If the rooms matched the food and atmosphere, it would be five stars.

We had a lovely Christmas break and would be happy to return. The rooms were quaint and cozy, the food was very good, and the service was friendly. It was disappointing that two menu items were unavailable on Christmas Eve, but the rest of our stay was great. Highly recommended.

We stopped in on the way to Wales and were wowed by how beautiful the place is. The Christmas decorations were amazing, and with the log fires burning it felt properly festive and magical. Lisa was so friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. My husband and son enjoyed playing the games by the fire.
