Millie really made our visit. She checked whether the pub welcomed dogs, then brought out the treat tin and came over to say hello to ours. All with a smile. She’s a real credit to the team.

The room was about what I expected for the price, and I only stayed one night because I was visiting Thorpe Park. The lager at £6.90 felt pretty pricey. I’d planned to eat there and watch the England match, but there was no food on offer and the TVs weren’t on, so I had to walk into town for both. I went back into town again for breakfast the next morning. No major complaints beyond that.

The Land Lady and Land Lord make people feel right at home, and the staff and lively regulars make it an easy place to enjoy a quiet pint with friends. The front smoking area doesn’t affect the rooms or people with asthma. The Guinness was brilliant, the best pint of Guinness In Chertsey, and the location is handy for Thorp Park, the train station and the high street. Highly recommended!

Bev was so accommodating when my friend and I needed a night near foxhills for a wedding. The rooms had just been upgraded and were clean and new, and we thought it was great value. We had a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend it. 😁

A very handy place to stay for Thorpe park. The traditional pub downstairs has friendly bar staff and a great ale selection, while the rooms upstairs were quiet enough for the location and the bed was comfortable. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m back nearby.
