Brook Meadow Hotel
About this property
This hotel welcomes its guests to a typical country house atmosphere where they will be made to feel at home right from the start. The best way to demonstrate the authentic hospitality is through the traditional English breakfast, which is made from locally sourced produce and best enjoyed at the elegant surroundings of the hotel's restaurant, overlooking the manicured garden. Business travellers can than get on with their work at the modern onsite conference facilities. At the end of the day the comfortable, individually-styled rooms afford surroundings to relax and have a good-night sleep. The location of the venue is perfect for visiting Liverpool, Chester and the surrounding area and also the coastline of North Wales and Snowdonia.

What struck me most was how the staff kept an eye on everyone. The chef checked that diners liked their food and was happy to adjust it, while the bar staff and the woman who hosted my friends' meeting were warm and attentive. I think one of the women was the manager, and her care seemed to set the tone for the rest of the team. I didn't eat, but the service stood out. I was only there for an hour while my friends got ready for their wedding, and already didn't want to leave. Outside it was a cold, dark night; inside, there was gentle music, a roaring fire, comfortable furniture and calming decor. It felt cosy and peaceful. I'd happily come back to eat, stay, or just have a drink and warm up. It felt like a comforting place to be amid a busy, unsettled world.

Brook Hall made my son's 65th birthday celebration feel special, and we'll remember the party and stay fondly. I arranged the event and couldn't have picked a better venue. The hospitality was first class, the French chef's Christmas dinner was delicious, and the waitresses were wonderful. My son plans to stay there again when he visits family in the Wirral. Thank you, Brook Hall.

We were very happy here for all five days, and the rooms were among the cleanest I've seen. The staff replenished tea and coffee every day and couldn't do enough for us. Uryania and Catherine work hard, keep their standards high, and are both kind and friendly. It's a lovely old country hotel with a slightly quirky, old-fashioned feel, though it's well maintained. The food was delicious, and the chef's cooking was impeccable. One of the best hotels we've stayed in.

The room had lovely views across the grounds, and the food and service were both wonderful. My fiancé and I had a great night celebrating here. I'd visited a few times before and had been looking forward to the whirlpool spa bath. We'd definitely return.

We only had one night and wished we'd booked longer. The owner and staff were so friendly that we felt like old friends, and the open fire in the bar made it especially welcoming. Dinner was served beautifully, hot and tasty. The hotel has loads of old-world charm, and the surrounding area is lovely while still being close to all amenities. Thank you, Brook Hall Hotel.
