We tried some Hungarian specialities from the menu, and the food and cakes were delicious. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back.

We had a good time here. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was live music that afternoon. They promptly asked if we wanted to stay and listen to the singer. The playlist was good, with a jukebox option too. The food looked good.

The food was exceptional, tasty and all homemade, with good prices. Try the Sunday roast selection or their Mega Stag burger, you won’t forget it in a hurry. Breakfast was also good value for something so tasty. It’s a great place to stay or just have a drink, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodation is a bit unusual, but clean, comfortable and cosy. Even if rock isn’t your thing, it’s a nice place for everyone.

We had a fantastic Friday night at The Saddle Inn, Chester, and loved the relaxed, unpretentious feel and friendly faces. It’s styled as a proper rock bar, with a charm all its own. Our room was called “Slayer”, spotless and full of character, with drums for bedside tables and a guitar on the wall. We went back downstairs after checking in for reasonably priced drinks and some food. The food was beautifully cooked, carefully presented and tasted amazing. We liked it so much we came back for food two days in a row. The bar’s atmosphere is hard to beat, and meeting the lovely owner gave us a sense of how much passion goes into the place. We also got to meet her two gorgeous French bulldogs, a bonus since we have one at home too. Great food, a brilliant atmosphere and unusual rooms. We’ll definitely stay at The Saddle Inn again when we’re next in Chester.

We had a couple of drinks here. Prices were very reasonable and the service friendly. I’m not really into heavy rock, but the music wasn’t deafening when we visited, so I quite enjoyed it.
