Casa Hotel

Emily was amazing, and we never once had an empty glass. The food was delicious, and every member of staff brought such energy and enthusiasm and was willing to help. I’ve tried bottomless brunches in Leeds and London, but this was honestly the best one. Thank you to everyone working in the Barca bar on 14th February. I was there for a birthday bottomless brunch with my son and daughter. Well done, Casa!

The bathroom was spotless, and the room was spacious with a really big bed. The staff were kind and efficient too. There’s just one small thing for me: I’ve always supported Real Madrid, so I’m not keen on the bar’s name. Still, I’d come back.

The room was cold, and I couldn’t really use the controls. I assume that may be a common problem, since there was a portable heater in the room. There’s also quite a bit of road noise right outside. The rooms were clean and well laid out, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It’s a great hotel and feels worth four stars. The bar is pleasant, although its no-laptop rule seems restrictive for a business location.

The bathroom needed attention: the shower tray was chipped, a tap was coming away from the wall, and some bath fittings were broken. There was white residue on the bedroom curtains, while the bathroom ceiling had peeling paint and mould. The hot tub water looked dirty, and I developed a skin rash after using it, which was worrying. We paid a high price expecting a luxury stay, but the cleanliness and upkeep fell well short of that. It was a long way from the standard we remembered from our visit a few years ago, and the stay was very disappointing.
