We came in a motorhome, and they let us stay in the car park as long as we bought food or drink. It was quiet, so we slept well, probably in a food coma! The lemon cheesecake is highly recommended, and the food was stunning. Such a gem of a place, with friendly, polite staff. The owners were hands on and made sure we had everything we needed and were happy. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had a birthday meal last night, and my steak and Guinness pie was absolutely brilliant. We're always greeted and treated well when we come in, and the staff are consistently welcoming and great. Great pub grub.

We stopped in for a light lunch today, though the pub is just down the road and we'd never been before. The staff were friendly, the soup was delicious, and it was a bonus that dogs are welcome. Plenty of parking too.

We were really disappointed after having high hopes for the meal. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold, and seeing so many other diners wearing coats made me wish I'd brought one too. When we ordered drinks, one person in our party was told they'd run out of lager and lime cordial. The drinks we did get were okay. The meals took a long time to arrive, and everything was cold. The manager handled it well when the food was sent back, but what came back wasn't much warmer. We were offered a discount, but we'd rather have had a good, hot meal. As we left, I noticed other people sending their food back too. Really poor.

The staff were lovely and I had a nice pint of Cruzcampo, but honestly the food wasn't great. For just under £19, I got two slices of fatty lamb, a microwaved Yorkshire pudding, good mash, half a roast potato, a quarter of a carrot, a sad slice of parsnip and a decent helping of cabbage. Sadly, not good value.
