The meal was very good, as it has been on the many times we’ve eaten there, and we’ve always been happy with the food, decor and service. Today, though, my mother became ill, and the hotel staff were kind and caring. They promptly called an ambulance and helped us when we needed it. We’d finished our meal, and they didn’t complain about the extra clearing up we left them with. Thank you to everyone at the Harbour Hotel Chichester, especially Emmy and all the restaurant staff and management. Highly recommended.

The highlight of our stay was our massages with Alice at the HarSpa. She was brilliant, and my wife and I both felt relaxed and revitalised afterwards. All the staff were lovely. The hotel combines modern rooms and superb en-suite bathrooms with the atmosphere of a 200-year-old building. It’s just on the edge of the town centre, about a ten-minute walk from anywhere you want to go.

The other hotel facilities are lovely, but I wouldn’t stay again. Room 10 itself was lovely, though much smaller than the same grade of room my family members had. It’s directly above the event space, so I wouldn’t recommend it when there’s an event on. There’s no soundproofing between floors: disco music and the DJ were very clear, and the loud bass made the floor vibrate. There was no chance to enjoy the room until the music stopped, which wasn’t great for the price. Reception staff were sympathetic but couldn’t help, and this is clearly a known problem.

We’d stay again, but would ask for a room away from the street. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, the food was great, and the staff went above and beyond. Our only problem was street noise at night, and the single-pane window glass didn’t help.

The location is excellent for exploring Chichester, which is a lovely city. The hotel was comfortable, and the rooms and dining room were very clean. The bar area looks a bit tired, but the staff were friendly and attentive.
