Sawyers Bed And Breakfast

We had a lovely three night stay. The room was a good size, the bathroom was lovely, and the location was great. Tracy and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I can honestly recommend it 100%. Thanks, Nigel x.

There were some good points: the B&B was tidy and clean, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The problems with our room ended up ruining the stay. Tracy showed us in and the first impression was good, but I could hear water dripping from a pipe in the property above onto a perspex skylight in the recess. I told Tracy at reception, and she brought padding and a sheet of plastic. We put the padding on the skylight, which stopped the sound at first. The next night, during a downpour, the noise was unbearable and kept us awake. I waited until the rain stopped, then went outside at 00.50 to put padding on the skylight and quiet the dripping enough to sleep. At breakfast I told Tracy what had happened, and she said she was sorry. The TV wouldn’t turn on, so Tracy came to reception again and got it working, but most channels weren’t available. It was so old I was surprised it worked at all. When my wife asked for the WiFi password, she was told there was no internet in that part of the B&B. In my opinion, this room shouldn’t be let to the public, especially at £130 a night. The whole apartment needs a major update. Other than the positives, these issues spoiled our time there.

Tracey was lovely and always made us feel welcome. The location was great, breakfast was amazing each morning, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower was nice, and the room was clean and pleasant. Honestly, I can’t fault the place. We’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

We’ll definitely book again. Tracey and Ken were both friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. It’s an easy enough walk into Looe, with its many shops and restaurants. Right outside the room there was a parking space and a table and chairs where we could sit and look out to sea, with Looe Island across the seafront road. The room was lovely and spotless, with a comfortable bed and a nice big double shower. Breakfast, cooked by Tracey, was really lovely too.
