This little cottage made a cosy, warm and clean base for relaxing and exploring nearby. The living room and kitchen were well equipped with everything we needed for a few nights, and the electric heaters kept things comfortable despite the sub-zero temperatures outside. We can understand a recent guest's comment about the bathroom sink: it is small and sits very close to the cabinet, which makes things like brushing your teeth awkward. That wouldn't make us take a star off, though.

It's ideal for a couple, and we're planning to return in 2026. We applaud the owner. Two small issues cost a star: we couldn't reply to the owner's messages about delayed access because the booking service didn't provide a reply option, and the otherwise excellent bathroom has a basin too small for anything beyond washing hands.

Everything has been thought through in this lovely little home-from-home cottage. It was so clean, and even had a pint of milk in the fridge for a cup of tea. The host provided kitchen basics such as washing-up liquid, cooking oil, tea, coffee and sugar, as well as shower gel. It's a great base for the Cotswolds and local area, though you'll need a car because it's in a quiet village. There's a pub next door that was recommended, but it wasn't open during our stay. Plenty of other food options are available, but you'll need to travel.

The little touches made this stay special. There was milk and tea and coffee ready, breakfast things left out, and even oil, salt and pepper for cooking. We stayed one night and loved it from the moment we arrived. Such a quaint, lovely place. We’d come back if we’re in the area again 😊
