Laythams Holiday Lets Retreat

The managers Victoria & Paul were brilliant, approachable and helpful whenever we needed anything. Their two dogs were gorgeous too. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed, including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer and fridge. We only needed to bring ourselves and food. It felt like home, with the added perks of the peaceful surroundings and stunning countryside views. We couldn’t find a single fault and would give more than five stars if we could. We’ll definitely return when we next visit family.

The farmhouse has fab views across rolling hills full of wildlife, and a lovely cosy country feel. Check-in was really easy. There were real fires, comfortable beds and everything we needed for a restful stay. Our teenagers loved having free run of the games room, which kept them off their devices for hours. Thanks so much, we’ll no doubt be back!

If you’re after a hiking and pub lunch holiday, this is the place. The views you wake up to are some of the best I’ve ever seen. It’s extremely dog friendly, with an enclosed back garden and helpful, friendly hosts who have lovely dogs themselves. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub too. Thanks to Victoria and Paul for a great time. We’ll stay again.

The bed was super comfortable, and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to switch off and relax. The cottage was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed. Our host was friendly and helpful from start to finish. We had a lovely two-night stay and honestly didn’t want to leave. We’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone after a quiet getaway.
