Mondo Hotel

The receptionist was lovely, and although the rooms were small, they had everything we needed. The problem came when we bought drinks at the bar. We were told there was nowhere to sit because all the tables were booked, but nobody sat at them the entire time we were there. We ended up standing in the doorway to drink.

There was plenty of parking, and the central location, breakfast, WiFi and smart TV were all included. The room was very clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. I found the bed a little firm, and the shower went cold a couple of times while I was using it. On the first morning, housekeeping knocked just after 8 to ask about doing my room. After travelling hundreds of miles, I really needed a lie-in. I understand many guests may be at breakfast, and I wouldn't mind a knock at 9 or later, especially with checkout at 11. They were polite, though. I'd stay again for the value.

The shower pressure was amazing, and the bed was firm and comfortable. It was quiet, with free WiFi and plenty of free parking, including some covered spaces. The modern hotel is a bit small, so the corridors are tight. It's near a strip mall but far from the city.

The restaurant attached to the hotel serves great food, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in the older rooms, which were great, and the new rooms being done as part of the upgrade are really well finished. Lovely hotel, and I’d recommend it to anyone staying in the local area.
