Premier Inn Penzance

My room was a Premier Inn Plus on the third floor at the back, and it was super quiet. At certain times, though, kitchen food smells came through the vents, which I found really off-putting. The location is about as good as it gets. I also thought the room could have been cleaner. If I can spot housekeeping issues, I don't understand why a professional wouldn't. The bedding was clean but stained, and in my opinion shouldn't have been used.

The rooms were really comfortable, and the hotel's location is a big plus, with the bus stop, train station, restaurants, and shops right outside. The buffet breakfast was very good. The staff were lovely, especially Luke, who was helpful in every way. The breakfast lady was helpful too.

Being opposite Penzance Station was convenient, but I wouldn't recommend the Premier Inn unless you're desperate. At check-in, nobody was at reception. I rang the bell twice, then saw three staff sitting at a breakfast table, chatting and eating before one finally came over. The staff at supper seemed disinterested as well, barely managing a grimace of a smile, and the food wasn't great. Breakfast was pretty bad, and the coffee was the most disgusting cup I've ever had. Why not get a Nespresso machine, which at least makes good coffee?

Right by the port, and a very nice spot. There’s a massive car park out front, though you do have to pay. Plenty of electric chargers were available and all working, which is a plus. The food and service were good.
