The kitchen had modern appliances and a good supply of quality utensils, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The pillows weren’t very supportive, though, and affected my sleep. Parking is cramped. The listing says there’s free space for up to four cars at the main building, but that may overstate what’s available to guests, since several tight spaces are marked for “Managing Directors.” Parking near rooms 4 and 5 was easier. Management also seemed to keep a close eye on guests. We were told not to stay outside after 9 p.m., which felt too strict.

The Coach House loft apartment was a great little base for a short stay, clean and welcoming, with the basics we needed. It’s very close to historic Bath. There’s a small outdoor seating area, and access is by exterior steps from ground level, conveniently close to the allocated parking space. Road noise from the nearby main road didn’t bother us, though it might bother some people.
