Poplars

Andrew welcomed us warmly, and the house is laid out very well. The rooms are all a good size, as are the good-quality bathrooms. The kitchen was spacious and worked well for our family of 10. There’s a great local pub for food, and shops nearby. The problem was the boiler, which kept making a noise like a bag of spanners. Andrew told us on arrival and said he’d buy boiler mix to quieten it, but couldn’t get the right amount. We’ve now spent two of our three nights listening to the noise. Turning it off makes the whole house cold, with -1 outside. I’m sure it’ll be fixed after our weekend, but at this price it’s very disappointing. I’d gladly have given Andrew and the property five stars, but I haven’t been able to sleep, and who would be happy with that?
