Britannia Coventry Hill

The bed was comfortable, though I could've used another pillow, and our room didn't have the promised "pants press." The phone signal was poor, and there was no WiFi to use instead. Some of the fittings are loose, and the main table wobbled badly when we put things on it. The hotel feels dated and a bit worn. Still, it wasn't terrible, though some things could be better.

The rooms are a decent size, clean, and cheap, but the decor looks like it hasn't changed since the 90s. My main issue was the breakfast and staff. Breakfast cost what I'd expect at a good hotel, but the choice was very limited and it was badly presented and messy. The staff weren't particularly unfriendly, but they didn't seem interested or welcoming. I'd use the hotel again just to sleep and leave. The rest isn't worth it.

For £34 a night, the room was clean and good value. We slept well, although the mattress was quite hard and might not suit everyone. The room itself was a little basic. The outside and public areas didn't make much of an impression.

The rooms are clean, and drinks at the bar cost less than at the pub, so it wasn't all bad. The staff were lovely, especially the manager, and barman josh couldn't do enough for us. Just don't expect a buffet breakfast. They don't do one because it home's asliam people.
