Little Foxes Hotel

What I’ll remember most about Little Foxes Hotel is how honestly the team handled a pretty upsetting mistake of mine. A few hours after checking out, while visiting Box Hill and the Surrey area, I realised I’d left my engagement ring in the room. I called at 3pm, really anxious. The receptionist listened, checked with housekeeping, and told me they’d found it and handed it in. When I returned later that afternoon, he gave it back, safe and sound, and was calm and kind throughout. I’m very grateful to the cleaning team and reception for doing the right thing. The stay itself was lovely and peaceful, and my room was only £50 for the night, great value. There was plenty of parking, and the hotel sits among trees in a quiet countryside setting. Check-in was easy and welcoming. The place smelled fresh and clean, with no smoke or unpleasant odours. My room was spotless, spacious and comfortable, with a soft bed, wardrobe space for my jacket and shirts, and a kettle with tea, coffee and milk. The bathroom was modern and clean, with fresh towels, clear mirrors, and a hot, strong shower after a cold winter day. The care from the staff made a real impression on me. If you need an affordable place near Gatwick while travelling around Surrey, I’d recommend Little Foxes. Thanks for the kindness and honesty. I won’t forget it.

The staff were really nice, and I’d recommend staying here. It’s a little out of the way, so the hotel can feel a bit flat, but there are delivery options and places to eat within a five-minute drive if you don’t want the hotel restaurant. The room was decent for a three-star place. The bathroom was very clean and had hand soap and shower gel, and there was a little coffee station with a mug. The large fan was a lifesaver in the heat. The bed and pillows were comfortable, though I did find a small stain on the sheet and quite a bit of dust by the headboard and bedside table. A water glass would have been useful, since I had to use my coffee mug, but it wasn’t a big deal.

It was very quiet overnight, and the room was clean with a lovely new bathroom. The staff were friendly and the service was great. There’s free parking, and it’s a perfect spot for the night before a Gatwick flight, with Purple Parking just five minutes away. We’ve booked again for next week because we’ll be returning to Gatwick after a very late arrival.

We only stayed briefly, but it was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was clean and roomy enough, and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. Best of all, our host stayed on the line to guide us to the door after we’d embarrassingly got lost. What a gent, and thank you!
