The Luib

The Luib Hotel has lovely views, with outdoor seating where you can look out at the scenery. The attached restaurant and bar had great food and service, and the rooms had everything I needed. It’s a very cozy place. I had a great experience and would stay again if I’m ever in the area.

We got a very warm welcome and stayed on a motorhome pitch with electric. The pitch was free because we had dinner in the hotel. There wasn’t a cooked breakfast as such, but you could order a bacon, egg, and tomato roll if you asked the evening before.

For a short stopover in the Highlands, this was a lovely, no-fuss stay with the essentials covered. We found the price very reasonable for the location, and appreciated the warm hospitality. We arrived very late, about two hours behind schedule, but I’d called ahead and the hosts were understanding. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming even at that hour. The Luib Hotel has a charming traditional Scottish feel, with mat flooring throughout adding to its rustic character. Free on-site parking was convenient too.

The room was huge, quiet, lovely and warm, and the beds were really comfortable. We had everything we needed, and the service came with a smile. Downstairs, the bar had excellent service and drinks. We didn’t try the food this time, so we’ll have to do that next visit. The location is perfect for driving through or exploring the area and nearby points of interest. Definitely coming back.
