Our guests have been telling us how much they enjoyed the food, how welcome the staff made them feel, and what a good time they had. The meal was delicious, and compliments to the chef! We had our wedding reception at the Dukes Head last weekend, and everything went perfectly. From the lead-up to the day through the wedding breakfast and our departure, the staff were friendly, attentive, helpful, and worked so hard to look after everything for us. The venue, the food, and the team made the day really special and one we’ll always remember. We also stayed a couple of nights at the adjoining boutique hotel. It was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and well kept, with good-sized rooms. The morning after, we had a delicious wedding breakfast with the guests who’d stayed over. Thank you so much for making our wedding and celebrations so special. Rob and Sylvia :-)

This was our third visit, and this time we went for the dine and stay package with dinner and breakfast. Dinner’s chef’s specials were a treat, and breakfast was truly stunning. The pub has a great choice of food and drinks, while the rooms are cosy and comfortable. The friendly, helpful people at reception and in the pub made our stay even better. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s been over a year since our last visit, and they still remembered us, which was lovely. The restaurant and bar food is so fresh, and the rooms are luxurious with everything you need. We had another lovely stay, with friendly, welcoming staff who are happy to help with anything. Fantastic value, too.

Handy for the races at Epsom and for sightseeing in London. We enjoyed our stay, the room was a good size, and the bed was really comfortable.

The room upstairs felt like being in an English home, with soft furnishings and homely colours. You can tell someone has cared about the small details, and it’s a warm, familiar place to slow down. The restaurant gets the balance right between British comfort food and a bit of care in how it’s made. We went in expecting a decent pub meal and came away impressed by the kitchen. There’s a seasonal feel to it, too, and the hospitality comes with a smile. And then there’s the spaniel who comes forward to greet you. He’s so composed behind the reception desk that you could almost imagine him asking for your booking reference. One wag of the tail and you feel at home. The Dukes Head has real character, and that dog seems to run the desk with complete authority.
