I was surprised that breakfast cost extra at a place called a bed AND breakfast, since I'd always understood it to be included. I also wasn't expecting to have to pay cash. That sent me into Cushendall to look for an ATM that would work with my card, which was really stressful. The shower was awkward too, as I had to hold the head because it wouldn't stay in place. I didn't raise any of this because I don't like confrontation. It was a pleasant enough place, but this was my first B&B stay and the experience has put me off staying in one again. I also missed being able to hang a do not disturb sign like in a hotel, and didn't like having my space intruded on.

The views, the stay, the breakfast, the whole experience were all excellent. Olive and James were polite and thoughtful about everything, and their village stories and personal stories made our time even more fun. When my plans changed at the last minute, Olive kindly accommodated them. Breakfast was more than good, with homemade cakes and pancakes. It's one of the town's longest operating BNBs, and I felt lucky to experience it. I'll definitely come back, more for a staycation than a vacation ☺️☺️.

The breakfast was amazing, enough that you could skip lunch. The en-suite room was immaculately clean, and Olive gave us a really friendly welcome with tea and homemade cakes. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Olive made our stay a real pleasure. She's a great cook and a wonderful host, happy to share what she knows about local attractions and the area's rich heritage. The place was exceptionally clean and full of charm.
