Everything was clean and we couldn’t fault the place. The shower was lovely and hot, and the room was really comfortable and suited us perfectly. The owners were lovely, easy to deal with, and went above and beyond. Thanks so much, we’ll return in the future.

We only booked three nights, but could happily have stayed longer. Sophie and Luke were warm and welcoming each morning at breakfast, which was worth 10 stars on its own. They chatted with guests and know the area so well that they can suggest things to do. The room was above standard, clean and tidy, with lovely fresh towels. Sophie recommended a pub for dinner, and we were glad we went. After a lovely night’s sleep, we were ready for another great breakfast. Their hospitality carried on throughout the stay. I’d absolutely recommend Number 19 Guesthouse to anyone wanting a warm, friendly and welcoming place. They deserve more than five stars, and we’ll be back. Thank you, Sophie and Luke.

We booked one night for me, my partner and our little girl, and I honestly wish we’d stayed longer. The couple who run the b&b were welcoming and knew lots about local activities and the area. It was clean and cosy, with a roomy bedroom and a spacious en suite. Breakfast was amazing. The room also had useful essentials, including an ironing board and iron, hairdryer, and shampoo and conditioner dispensers, handy when you’re travelling with little ones and always forget something. The town, with places to eat and drink and plenty of shops, is just down the street. We’ll book again to explore more of the nearby attractions with our daughter.

The family room had plenty of space for me, my husband and our teenage daughter, and we enjoyed a lovely few days away. Local attractions are nearby, and Sophie and Luke were helpful with suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The breakfast deserves a special mention. We’ve stayed at 4-5 star hotels in the Lake District, but the cooked breakfasts at Number 19 were far better. Really good value for money.

The room and bathroom were spotless, and the beds were comfortable. Sophie and Luke were welcoming and very accommodating when I asked for an early breakfast or needed to change my booking. There weren’t many plug sockets, which was a small nuisance, but it didn’t affect my stay. I’d come back if I’m in the area.
