We were there for three nights, and my sister's 60th birthday party on Saturday was a real highlight. Nicole, the events manager, had everything ready for a fabulous evening, and the staff working that night were excellent. My son and I had a spacious room, number 54, with everything we needed. Breakfast was a very good buffet, and the hotel had a relaxed feel. We'd happily stay again. Thanks to everyone for making it such an enjoyable visit.

The staff really stood out. Everyone I met was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and I'd be glad to come back. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though the decor feels a little dated. Since it's an older building, we had a heating problem in the room, but it was sorted easily. The town is only about a five-minute walk away.

I've stayed here many times for work and have always had a good experience. On my recent trip, I ran into some problems, and the staff were very helpful in getting things sorted. The hotel is also well placed near the centre of Darlington.

The room was comfortable, and we slept well during our two-night stay just before Christmas. Reception was friendly and check-in went smoothly. The restaurant was full one evening, so we ate in town, about a ten-minute walk away. Breakfast was buffet style, but both times we found the food lukewarm, even after booking a time on Saturday when the hotel was busy. There are damp patches on some walls, and the place could use maintenance. Parking was fine, though arriving early helps if you want to secure a space.
