Bayards Cove Inn - Guest house

The pumpkin ravioli was delicious, and the pub has such a cosy, inviting feel. We’ve visited twice while in Dartmouth for work, and both times the staff have been very welcoming. On this visit, a lovely woman with short blonde hair and glasses served us. She was so warm and bubbly. I’d love to stay here in the future :)

We appreciated a few thoughtful touches: earplugs in case noise disturbed us, though it didn’t, and a drip towel for removing makeup. The waitress also made us tea while we sat reading in the bar. My wife and I had a lovely stay, with a comfortable room, very helpful staff and an excellent location.

Our room had cafetière coffee, and they even gave us a little bag of treats for the journey home. The breakfast was fantastic, the location incredible and the customer service excellent. We’d combined our stay with a guided tour of Britannia Royal Naval College, which was excellent too. We’ve just returned from a wonderful visit.

Parking nearby takes a bit of planning, but it wasn’t a major problem. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it’s a great location for exploring. We had fresh food and a great choice at breakfast. The old property has plenty of character, and our room was clean, cosy and comfortable, with lots of little extras, especially for the woofer. We had a lovely weekend break.
