A real find. The village has beautiful scenery, hardly any traffic, and is great for walking. There’s a genuine community spirit, with locals looking out for one another, and you can experience something different each time you visit. It’s a peaceful, remote spot. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the building is well maintained, and the food is great. The owner has run it for 30 years and is a true gent, welcoming and accommodating in every way. I’ll definitely return.

We’ve had work nearby and stayed at other places, but this has been the best by far. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are lovely, and the pub serves good food. There’s also a garden room with everything needed for a talk or workshop, I gather it can fit 20-30 people.

We stayed overnight in our motorhome and Barry gave us a very friendly welcome. Dinner was excellent, with a great choice of homemade pies. In the morning, Jenny served a really good full English breakfast. We could use a separate shower room, and there was a separate entrance for using the facilities overnight if needed. We didn't stay overnight, but the owners were happy to serve us breakfast. We called ahead to say when we'd arrive, and they opened the kitchen just for us for a late breakfast. The full English was lovely, and the food, calm atmosphere and welcome all made for a nice visit. I'd recommend it! 🙂

A quiet, relaxing break in good company is easy to imagine here, and I'd recommend the hotel for that. It's in a peaceful Norfolk village, and the place is clean and well presented, with comfortable guest rooms. The food was nicely presented and tasty. The staff are polite and friendly, and nothing seems too much trouble. It feels homely and welcoming.
