For my son's birthday we had Sunday lunch here. The food was lovely, and the staff were friendly. It was busy, but still had a relaxed feel. The pub's in a rural spot, with a children's play park and an indoor play room for when the weather's not so nice. We'll definitely be back.

Chris and Callum from the Management Team were kind, friendly and helpful. They knew my mother had passed away the week before and helped move our booking to fit our needs, which meant a lot. The rest of the team were welcoming and professional too. We had dinner and breakfast at the Inn, and both the ingredients and presentation were excellent. The pub, restaurant and rooms were stylish, spotless and well run. Looking forward to staying at The Hadley Bowling Green again. Thanks for a lovely visit.

I needed to be out of my house for two days while it was being renovated, and picked this hotel from the places within 25 miles. I remembered it from years ago when I used to drink there. The facilities were good and I had no complaints about them. Staff were courteous and attentive, and breakfast had the choices I'd expected. The evening meals weren't really to my taste, though that's just personal preference. Wine was quite expensive and the beer selection was limited. It was a good experience, if not a great one, and some of that is subjective.

The roaring fire in late February made a pie an easy choice. Mine came with mash and greens, and the food was really tasty. We had a family gathering, and the service was just right. The welcome was warm, the staff reassuring, and there was a great choice of pre-dinner drinks to go with the menu. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be my last. The place is historic and cosy, in a traditional rural setting. It lived up to its great reputation and gave us a lovely memory. Maybe next time we'll book a room too. Thanks to the team.

A lovely old pub with rooms, tucked away like a hidden gem. The staff were lovely, parking was free, and breakfast had a good choice. My modern room was big, airy, clean and quiet, and very comfortable. Great stay, highly recommended.
