Lisnacurran Country House B&B

The breakfast room was gorgeous, and both mornings the food was delicious. The staff were so lovely, too. We stayed in the Oriental room in this beautiful house just off the main road. Check-in was easy, and Lynne sent helpful WhatsApp messages about arrival and breakfast. We loved our stay and would come back and recommend it.

We got to use the hot tub, then drove to a neighboring town for dinner. It was a peaceful place to unwind for the evening, and Lynne kept in touch clearly about our plans. We had a great one-night stay at Lisnacurran earlier this year, with an excellent breakfast served by Aoife the next morning. Thanks, and we hope to return.

The bar and lounge look incredible, and you really want to settle in there. We stayed at Lisnacurran Country House for four nights, and Lynne was a great host. Our room was fitted out and finished to a very high standard for a guest house. Breakfast had a great range and was all high quality. I'd highly recommend staying here.

I was comfortable and happy with the stay, though the logistics left me a bit puzzled at times. Our host was ill unexpectedly, so we didn't see anyone at the property for three nights, and the rooms weren't cleaned during that time. Since our stay was short, it didn't cause any major problems. With luck on the hosts' side, I think this could easily have been a five-star-plus experience. Given the circumstances, things were handled reasonably well, and four stars feels fair. After twelve hours of travel, we found the arrival messages confusing. We were asked in one message about self check-in and whether we'd move to Arthurs, a property a couple of miles away in town, for a free upgrade because of cancellations. We were fine with self check-in, but the upgrade offer might have been clearer the day before or in a separate message. Breakfast was then set for Arthurs. It's amazing, and I'm glad we accepted, though it meant planning to leave earlier. On the last morning, with no other bookings at Arthurs, they instead laid out a full breakfast just for us at the b&b, which was amazing too. The Oriental room was nice, spotless and quiet, partly because there were no other guests. The double bed might be small for two adults, but the extra single bed meant it wasn't a problem for us. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, with a good shower and solid water pressure and temperature. Parking was decent and suited its purpose, though the spaces were hard to spot in the dark. Take care turning in from the A road, as drivers behind you may not slow down.
