Breakfast was really nice, and the pleasant staff made sure everyone had what they needed. Our room was clean and had a lovely view, though much of the decor feels old, especially the hallway carpets. It was very hot when we visited, and they kindly brought us a fan when we asked. The hotel sits in beautiful countryside, and the drive up is impressive, even with all the potholes. The staff were helpful and did their best for us.

We had a peaceful, quiet stay with lovely views, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a great spot, though some parts are looking a little tired. Our first restaurant meal was a letdown: the steak was inedible, the pepper corn sauce was revolting, and the shop bought cheesecake had a soggy biscuit base and wasn't nice. The staff understood and sorted it out. It’s a great place, but a few areas could use a bit of a kick.

We saw a pheasant shoot while we were there, which wasn't pleasant, though most of the shooters couldn't hit a barn door. The food was lovely, if a bit limited. It's a lovely, quiet hotel set in its own grounds, and being dog friendly is a bonus. The staff were very obliging and attentive, and the hotel itself is lovely.

The grounds are lovely for a walk or sitting with a glass of wine, and they do a good breakfast. It’s dog friendly, too. I’ve stayed here numerous times. The place is beautiful, though some rooms are a bit tired. I believe refurbishment is going on at the moment, so it’ll be great to come back. Great place, thank you.

The food has always been good, and there’s a good atmosphere with friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. I’ve spent many enjoyable hours here with ex military colleagues. It must be popular, given how many wedding receptions are held there. We had our Christmas celebration there last Saturday. Subject to the renovations being completed, we’ll be back in the Spring.
