Honest Lawyer Hotel

For our family of six, Christmas lunch at The Honest Lawyer was the best hotel Christmas Day meal we’ve had in years. We hadn’t eaten there before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The turkey was succulent, the vegetables tasty and the portions just right. We also found the room spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, with friendly, prompt service. Thanks to everyone for such a lovely day.

My sister's wedding there, between Christmas and New Year, was incredible. The venue was warm, welcoming and perfect for a party, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and Ross went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. We’d visited plenty of times before the wedding, and the food and drinks were always 10/10. Their Sunday dinners and breakfasts are especially worth recommending. We had rooms for the nights before and after the wedding, and couldn't believe how spacious they were. They were clean and lovely. Every guest we spoke to said the same thing. It’s a wonderful venue, with excellent staff and service. I can’t thank them enough for making it such a comfortable, amazing experience. ❤️

We went to the Murder Mystery Panto night just before Christmas with my son, his fiancée and other family, and it was excellent fun from start to finish. The actors were really good. You had to solve a murder as the evening went on, with food served between rounds while we got clues and time to talk things over with our teammates. The food was very good and the portions generous, and the event was great value. I’d recommend it and would go again if they put on another one.

The staff were efficient and really friendly, and we also stayed overnight, with a good breakfast the next morning. The New Year's Eve party welcoming 2026 had a great atmosphere and entertainment all night, plus an excellent buffet. We had a brilliant time.
