The breakfast room was what let the visit down. It felt much too cramped, with everyone crowding around the toaster and cereal or queuing at the small hatch for hot food. Getting back to our table through the packed little space with plates was stressful, and it took the shine off the stay. I was only in Consett briefly to pick something up, and the quiet location made for a good night's sleep. The staff were lovely throughout, especially the breakfast team, who were so kind and thoughtful. The problem was the size and layout of that room.

The little recovery table for runners after the Great North Run was such a thoughtful touch, and really appreciated after 13.1 miles. It made the stay feel personal and supportive. The team went out of their way for us. We found the staff welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable, just right for a good night's sleep before and after the race. We were really impressed with our stay at the Premier Inn in Durham.

We were visiting family nearby, so this was really handy for us. A quiet room and friendly staff, with the usual Premier Inn feel.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced for a budget stay next to Anniston Centre in Durham. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.
