De Vere Venues Horsley Park

We were moved to another room after finding that the Towers room was cold because the windows didn’t seal properly. Thankfully, the heating in the new room worked well. The rooms look lovely, with a big bed and nice soap, but getting help was a constant struggle. There’s no reception in the Towers, and I did around 20 laps trying to find someone. The room phone failed to reach reception nearly 10 times, and they didn’t answer my personal phone after 5 tries either. If you need help, food or a drink, you have to go to another building. There’s no lift or help with luggage on the stairs, which would be a problem for older guests. I also found 6 cartons of plant based milk in the coffee station, all covered in mould. There’s no room service, sauna or steam room. I’ve stayed at De Vere hotels in two other locations and they were brilliant, but I can’t say the same about this one. The stay wasn’t terrible, but unfortunately I won’t be coming back.

The staff are what I’ll remember most. Livette welcomed me at reception with such a warm smile and friendly energy that I felt at home straight away. I hope to see her again on my next visit. At dinner, Agnieszka was just as kind and attentive. When my blood sugar suddenly dropped, she made sure my meal came faster. As a diabetic, I really appreciated her care and professionalism. Thank you, Agnieszka, you’re a star. I hope we meet again. De Vere Horsley Estate is peaceful, beautifully maintained and in a stunning location. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, too. Please take good care of these two wonderful ladies, they made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend the estate and look forward to returning soon.

The restaurant food was good, and its staff were excellent. Staff throughout the stay were amazing, too. We spent the first night in the Towers, where the room was lovely and great value. There’s no reception, dining room or bar there, though a bar was present but closed. The service stations had free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. For night two we booked a suite in the new main building, which cost a lot more. The seating terrace was a nice extra, although blocked gutters dripped constantly. There was no room service.

Our wedding here on 29th November 2025 was thoroughly enjoyable. The Towers rooms looked beautiful, the food was great, and the party was just as good. The staff were impressively helpful, and it’s a great venue.
