Devonia Eastbourne

From my single room at the back I could see The Downs, which was stunning. The place felt peaceful, clean and professionally run, and the people were helpful. The sea is just a stone's throw away, with a lovely seafront cafe nearby. The pier and shops are about a 15-20 minute walk.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from and was really good. Our top-floor room was spacious enough, very clean, and had a lovely comfortable bed and a good ensuite. The B&B is right opposite the beach. It's around 20 minutes on foot to the pier and restaurants, or 45 minutes to the marina; there's also a nearby bus stop in each direction and the service is good. We ate at Channels restaurant and had a great meal for a reasonable price. We'd definitely stay here again.

There was a basic breakfast included, and the room was a reasonable size and reasonably clean. Getting in was awkward at first because the proprietor was away and the person next door was covering. Although just two rooms were occupied over Christmas, we and the other guest were both put on the second floor, with no lift. Freeview had no signal on most channels, the room's guest information gave the wrong WiFi details, and there weren't any Christmas decorations.

Breakfast was delicious and really filling, and the hosts were friendly without hovering. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a sea view from the bed. The pier was an easy walk away. We had to use street parking because the lot only holds two cars at most, but parking there was free. Eastbourne was a perfect place to spend our Kelsey after flying in from the US.
