I understand that room cleaning isn't offered, but the receptionist could have explained that more respectfully. When I asked to see the policy she got angry and couldn't show it to me. She also brought up that she'd checked me in early the day before, even though I was willing to pay for early check-in. The problem wasn't the lack of room service, it was the way she spoke to me. She looked to be in her early twenties, was Asian, and wore a scarf around her neck. Please train staff better, or rehire.

We were waiting for our new apartment to be ready and stayed here for seven nights with several boxes of kitchen things and other belongings. Our room was already packed, but the manager let us keep some boxes safely in storage for a few days. The staff were all so friendly: Mary, Kiki, Margie, and Maria. They'd offer to service the room whenever they saw us, even though we hadn't asked for a top-up, and reception helped us get a quiet room. Rani deserves a special thank you for making the stay comfortable. Such a helpful team, I'd recommend the place.

Thorpe Park is nearby, which was about the only good part of the stay. We didn't get the room we'd booked, and when I asked to move, they said they were overbooked and offered a 50% discount instead. I accepted, but only later found out it was an e-voucher for Travelodge, valid for six months. Nobody had told me that. Reception and customer services were no help when I tried to get the discount changed to a cash refund. A poor experience.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, but the room itself was disappointing. It had a strange layout, the shower pressure was very low, and there were odd stains on the carpet. Apart from the chair, it didn't look much like the photos.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and being close to Windsor and Thorpe Park was handy. But during the heatwave, the large glass panel by the lift hallway trapped so much heat that by afternoon it felt like an oven. There was a fan in the room, though it didn't cool things down, and reception wouldn't provide another one.
