Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa

We had a Groupon voucher as a gift, and I think it was worth the price. The Rasul treatment turned out to be self-service, which we hadn't realised, but we still enjoyed it and had a lovely day. The staff were kind. As first-timers, though, we would've appreciated more of a tour and a quick explanation of the day's plan, including where afternoon tea would be, instead of having to keep asking. I also hadn't known that Elemis, whose products are used and sold there, isn't cruelty-free, and that's very important to me as a customer.

We had a wonderful break at the Inchyra, with fantastic service throughout. Thanks in particular to Megan Sibin Page Moria from the massage team and to Amber for helping us during our stay. The steakhouse meals were excellent, including dinner, afternoon tea and breakfast. Our room was spacious and clean, though it could use an update. We'll definitely return.

The massage and facial were fantastic, and the products used were lovely. We also enjoyed fresh afternoon tea, especially the delicious cakes, and the staff were friendly. I had a good spa day and would come back. The pool, though, was freezing, so it didn't feel relaxing for a leisure pool. The steam room was completely dark and didn't feel safe. I couldn't tell if anyone was inside and had to feel along the side to avoid hitting my toes on the seats. Even the area just outside it was dim.

I was unsure about our booking after seeing some reviews, but we had a lovely Christmas break. The staff were professional and so kind, and the clean spa and skilled therapists were a real highlight. The restaurant's menu isn't usually our sort of thing, yet the meal was one of the best I've had, especially the chicken wings. For the price and service, it was great. We'll be back.
