We were travelling from Canada to the UK, landing in London on December 14th, and needed somewhere near Tilford. The princess Royal was just right for us, only a 7-minute drive from Mubarak Mosque, islamabad, which was the main reason for our trip. Booking at short notice was easy, and the staff were so helpful and kind. Our room was clean and very pretty, and worked well for us with our two toddlers, aged 1 and 3. On checkout day, Tuesday, December 16th, I was feeling quite unwell after the long flight, jetlag and lack of sleep. I asked whether we could leave a little later than 11am. The front desk team checked with housekeeping and kindly let us stay until 1pm. The housekeeping staff were just as understanding and kind. When the key fob didn’t work as we checked out, staff held the door open while we loaded the bags and got the toddlers safely into the car. We really appreciated that and thought very highly of the staff. The one difficulty was not having a microwave in the room. We couldn’t warm milk for the toddlers, so they had cold milk overnight. Going back and forth to the lobby each time, especially during night wakings, was too much work.

The location worked perfectly for us, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, though they’re looking a little tired.

The rooms are a good size and feel modern and comfortable. There’s good coffee, plus fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge, a nice touch. Bathroom products were good quality, the shower was excellent, and the towels were big.

I’ve been to Princess Royal many times and always find the food good and the service first class. Even though they were extremely busy earlier this evening, they still found me a table. They were rearranging the pub because an unannounced meal party of 15 had turned up. Well done. 👍👍

After a four-hour journey, we arrived to a friendly, helpful welcome. The room was spotless, and the coffee machine was just what we needed. They’d also provided bowls, treats and, best of all from the dog’s point of view, a ball. I’d highly recommend it and would happily return.
