Bush Hotel Farnham

The staff were the best part, so kind and friendly, and always ready to help. The hotel felt calm and welcoming, with no noticeable noise despite being right by the lovely little high street. There’s also a park nearby, the railway station isn’t far, and the hotel has a handy car park. I had a great stay.

Hannah and Francesco guided us through the planning, and their help made a real difference. We had a lunch party for 30 guests at the Bush Hotel to celebrate a special anniversary, and everything went far beyond what we expected, from the preparations and provisions to the food and service. The staff were thoughtful, charming, polite and friendly throughout. It was a great success, and we’d happily recommend the venue.

The afternoon tea in the Oak Lounge made a fitting tribute to a much-loved, refined lady. We held my mother-in-law’s celebration of life at The Bush after her funeral at St Thomas’ church in the Bourne on Wednesday 15th October 2025. Hannah and Megan helped us plan it, and the lounge felt comfortable and welcoming for around 45 guests. The staff took coats and showed people in, and the room was arranged just as we’d asked. Sandwiches, warm scones, cakes, tea and coffee were all excellent, and guests commented on the sandwiches. We had to estimate the numbers, but there was plenty to go around. Takeaway boxes were available at the end, and guests quickly took the remaining food for their journeys home. It was an emotional occasion, but Hannah and the team took the stress off our hands. They quietly kept the food topped up, and Hannah checked in with us to see that everything was all right. Having the bar available was useful too, and plenty of guests chose something a little stronger.

Farnham was a pleasant surprise, with loads of great little shops, and I’ll be back for sure. I stayed two nights for a family event at the hotel. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were fantastic.
