Cave Hotel & Golf Resort

Reception gave us a nice welcome with a glass of prosecco. The spa area felt very small, with just four loungers around the pool, and the steam room wasn’t very steamy. The bed linen was lovely and soft, but the bed itself was clearly soft support, and I could feel my partner moving. TV reception kept cutting out too. For the price, I expected more. Before booking, staff described the restaurant as romantic and upmarket, but people were wearing ripped jeans, trainers and shorts. We’d dressed up expecting it to be a bit classier.

Alex, Chloe, and Johnny made us feel so welcome from the minute we checked in. They were professional, kind, and seemed to really care that we had a memorable stay. Thanks as well to Inga at the downstairs bar, if I’ve got the name right. He was friendly and attentive and helped make the evening feel special. My partner booked Cave Hotel & Golf Resort as a birthday surprise on April 6th. We stay in hotels often and enjoy luxury breaks, but this one stood out straight away. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, the facilities are incredible, and the whole place has a luxurious feel. The staff turned a lovely stay into the best night we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back.

The whole team helped make my proposal unforgettable, even though I hadn’t booked a room. Megan made the booking arrangements easy and kept reassuring me while I was nervous about planning everything. The crew at Cowgirl Restaurant were especially lovely. They prepared a beautiful palette covered in chocolate, and kept my partner occupied while I secretly arranged the decorations and camera crew. Everyone was welcoming and put real care into making the day special. Everything came together perfectly, and I’m grateful to them all for the effort and attention. I’ll definitely visit again with my Fiance .

The meal at the Firepit was a highlight. The dishes were really clever, and I especially liked the complimentary pork soup and the Apple ice. The staff’s warm, lovely personalities made the dinner. Alex and Ashley at the front of house were brilliant from the start, welcoming us with a bubbly but professional manner that lasted through our stay. Our room was lovely too, and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. A couple of small things could be better: some of the firepits around the hotel weren’t working properly and kept flashing while we were swimming and eating, and the spa didn’t have enough loungers. Neither would stop us booking again. We had a lovely romantic break with hubby.
