The Hatton Rooms

DO NOT BOOK. This stay was a nightmare from the start. I wasn't told about the £200 deposit until I arrived and was made to wait outside until I'd paid it. By then I'd been soaked in the rain and nearly had frostbite. Inside, the place looked like a drug and alcohol rehab hostel, with shabby dark brown doors on sad-looking stairs. My first look at the so-called luxury apartment left me disgusted. The bathroom smelled of damp sewage, and the cheap flooring was cracked and dirty. Dirt and dust surrounded the sink, with a dead fly by the tap. The towels had a shocking stench. There was no cover on the bathroom window, so the whole of Feltham could potentially see you shower. The shower head was covered in limescale. In the tiny living room, the cheap TV didn't work, and I hadn't even heard of its brand. When I switched on the TV plugs, I got an electric shock. The plugs seemed dodgy, like the owner. A small table sat beside the TV with chairs so flimsy they looked like they'd break if you blew on them, and they didn't even match. Everything seemed cheap and horrible. The kitchen hob didn't work, the cutlery, pots, and pans were dirty, and it smelled of sewage and mould again. The bedroom may be the worst place I've ever had to sleep. The pillows were yellow and dirty, the curtain looked burnt by a cigarette, the carpet was so old it looked chewed by dogs, and the bed may as well have been the floor. There was damage throughout the property and stains on the walls. I wouldn't be surprised if they came from people hitting their heads against the wall after realising they'd been scammed into a tiny, dirty druggie den. If I don't get a refund for this stay, I'll definitely take the matter to court.
