The restaurant was busy both Monday and Tuesday evenings, with locals as well as hotel guests, and it’s easy to see the appeal. There was a great atmosphere, and the food really was a highlight. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, freshly cooked with high-quality ingredients, and the portions were generous. After a 9 hour drive from London, we wanted somewhere comfortable to unwind. The welcome from the friendly, chatty staff made us feel looked after straight away. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable, and the hotel as a whole was clearly well cared for. We had a fantastic stay. Health Hill Hotel is a relaxing place with lovely staff and excellent food, and I’d happily recommend it.

The home-cooked food was delicious, especially the lasagne and steak pie. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere friendly, and the service excellent. Highly recommend.

The place was lovely and clean, and the service was good. The food was excellent. Our drinks were warm, though adding ice helped.

A little out of the way, but what a great find. The staff were good, the bed comfortable, and the food superb.
