Wonderful setting close to Gairloch harbour, nestling at the foot of Flowerdale Glen and just over an hours drive from Inverness and Ullapool. Renowned local seafood and game with local beers and a fine selection of malt whisky. Lots to do and worth at least a 2-night stay - superb walking, Inverewe Gardens, Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve, Whale Watching, Golf, day trips to islands. Award winning Inn: AA Seafood Pub of the Year 2006.

My wife and I ate at The Old Inn last evening and would certainly visit again. The food was excellent, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We had our dog with us in the bar beside our table, and both staff members on duty checked whether he needed a bowl of water.

The food was hot and well cooked, so it wasn't the worst, but it was bland and nothing special. Prices were relatively high compared with nearby pubs and restaurants. Even with a table booked, we had to flag someone down to be seated, and ordering and getting the food took longer than expected. Two courses took over an hour and a half. It was OK, but I probably wouldn't return.

We were staying next door and came in twice for dinner and drinks. The team were wonderful and accommodating, and the wine and beers were good. The food was really excellent: we had haggis, malfatti and chicken makhani. Good value too. Definitely recommend.

Great staff and okay food. The burger patty wasn't great, though the fries and sides were nice. I'd avoid the beef burger, but would definitely come back and give it another try.

It's well located near the golf course and beach, away from the main village. There was plenty of parking out back, the bedrooms were a good size, and both the staff and food were great. We had a great stay.
