I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels for work, and this was the worst place I’ve ever been. The window had been smashed and covered with a thin piece of plastic, so the cold and traffic noise from the busy main road came straight in. The walls were paper thin, and the bed sagged in the middle and left me with a bad back. Noise from the shared facilities went on into the early hours, and other guests kept waking us. A large party came back in the middle of the night and kept us up from 3 to 5am. I complained, but reception said there was nothing they could do. We stayed two nights, and both were a nightmare. Cheap or not, it’s not worth it. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The room suited the whole family, but we had to fight to get moved. All six beds had bed bugs. We took three or four pillows down to be swapped, but more bugs kept appearing, and we lost a lot of sleep dealing with it. They wouldn’t arrange a room for us at the hotel two minutes down the road either. The shower only trickled and didn’t come properly out of the shower head. When we spoke with the manager and cleaner the next morning, they said they knew about the issue and had people come to deal with it, but it kept returning. We definitely won’t stay there again.

The room they gave me was the worst I’ve ever stayed in, and I’m extremely disappointed with the service and staff behaviour. It was beside the main road, and traffic noise kept me awake all night. I told the staff and asked to move, but they wouldn’t, even though they already had an empty room.
