The location worked well for our midweek February visit, especially for a concert at the glasshouse. You can walk into newcastle centre or take the handy bus, and the WiFi was good. Our two-night price included breakfast, which had a decent range and very friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and the towels good, though the rooms were just OK and had little annoyances, like no hook on the back of the door and a bedside light on one side but not the other. Onsite parking is available, but it costs £10 per night. I'd recommend it if the location suits and you're looking to keep costs down.

The buffet space was a bit cramped, and people got tense while queuing. The food was good for the price, though, and our room was clean, cosy and comfortable, with lovely beds. We were there as part of a Caledonian mystery tour and would book again.

It was okay, though not great. Getting to the city centre is a lovely 20-30 minute walk when it's not raining. Breakfast was fine, the usual English breakfast kind of thing, but the croissants were absolutely delicious when they were fresh.

The hotel was very clean, and the rooms felt modern, spacious and tidy. Helpful, friendly staff too. Breakfast had lots of choice, and the bed was nice and big.

The hotel is quiet and well placed, and the prices were excellent. The woman who checked us in was really helpful. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and very good value, and the staff were lovely.
