I hesitated about staying at this hotel after reading some comments, but choosing it turned out to be the right call. We paid £60 for two nights for two adults and two kids. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff brought extra towels when we asked, no problem. It’s not luxury, but it works well for a night or two and the price is very good. If you want luxury, expect to pay £150 a night.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable in a quiet room. The rooms themselves are very basic and could do with an update. Parking is a bit of a hassle because the car park fills quickly, and if there’s no space you have to use the pay car park. Even so, it’s good value and the location works well for visiting the area.

It’s right beside the M2, and the room is basically just a bedroom. There’s no bar or cafe, only a vending machine, and parking can be tight. For the price and what you get, it’s okay. The rooms are clean, the shower gets hot, and there’s complimentary tea and instant coffee.

The hotel, staff and location are good, but make sure reception has your vehicle details, including the registration number. They use an on site firm that may try to fine you for staying overnight. We’re currently disputing a fine from a German company over a one night stay on the 19th of last December. The attempted fine arrived in February 2026, two months after our December visit, and it’s still ongoing and unresolved.
