Cameron House

The Cameron Grill was a highlight: dinner was superb, the service was great, and I especially loved the scallop starter and halibut main. We also enjoyed the relaxed feel and traditional decor of the Great Scot bar. We spent two nights here in March for our wedding anniversary. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with beautiful loch views. It isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for, and I’d like to mention that all the staff were exceptional.

We spent a few days here with family and friends, and it was such a special getaway. Cameron House and the surrounding facilities are in a gorgeous setting, with bars, lounges, and leisure pools all finished to a high standard. Our friend showed us around the main house and facilities, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The Farmhouse lodge was peaceful beside loch Lomond, and had plenty of room for all of us. It felt modern but cosy, with a big kitchen and dining space and two lounges. There were two upstairs bedrooms with en suites, a downstairs shower room, and a double Murphy bed in one lounge. The appliances were modern, including a wine fridge. Having access to the spa and pool was fantastic. There were three floors of hydro pools, plus a steam room and saunas, and a rooftop pool with a view. Dressing gowns and flip flops were provided, and the showers and changing rooms were clean and good. On our second night we ate at the Cameron House restaurant. The celeriac soup and scallops were lovely starters, and I really enjoyed the baked beetroot main. My family liked the fish and rigatoni a la vodka. The food was high standard, with wonderful flavours from the kitchen and lovely attention at the table from Brendan. Service was perfect. A lovely place for couples or families to spend time with people they love.

The hotel is luxurious inside, and the staff were attentive. The location on Loch Lomond is beautiful, with valet parking and luggage brought to the room. I also enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi. Standards are high, though the breakfast buffet sausage was flat, greasy, and seemed to have poor meat content.

The staff made the stay, always polite, attentive, and happy to help with requests. Jennah at the front desk deserves a special thank you for being so helpful and pleasant. From arrival until leaving, we felt looked after. This has to be one of Scotland's most amazing properties, and I'll certainly return.
