Citizenm Glasgow Hotel

For a night out in Glasgow, I usually book this place. After a rave, getting into that massive bed is hard to beat. It’s perfect if you’re bringing someone along too. I sleep with LED lights on, so being able to turn off the main light and switch to a cosier colour is great. I only use the hotel as somewhere to sleep, so I can’t comment on the other services. Last time, moving checkout from 11 in the morning to 2pm cost an extra £30. That’s not too bad if you know you’re going to have a late one.

Our work group of eight all loved the rooms, the lighting, the mood tones, everything. Citizen M Glasgow was a fabulous experience, with a good central location and a great breakfast. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Big thanks to Viktoria for sorting out the TV when the signal went down in the bad weather. Emma at reception looked after us and checked us in quickly, despite our last minute booking after the storm and flight cancellations. I’d recommend Citizen M to anyone visiting Glasgow. Well done!

The room was immaculate, and the value for money is really good even though it’s compact. I liked being able to choose how often and how much cleaning we wanted, especially as we appreciate fresh towels regularly. Housekeeping were friendly and efficient. The tablet controls for everything made the room feel high-tech, though there were manual switches if that’s not your thing. The coloured shower lighting was fun and made a nice atmosphere while relaxing in bed at night. We were warmly greeted by Hannah, who was helpful and attentive during our short stay. The staff were fantastic all around, especially her and the lovely guy with the accent who works on the canteen. I didn’t catch his name. My only complaint was one lift being out of service. It was mostly fine, but one morning we waited a good five minutes because the lift arrived too full of staff and cleaning equipment for us to get in. I understand equipment can fail, so it’s not a big deal, but hopefully it isn’t a long-term issue.

It’s a fun, trendy place, and I really liked the compact design. Having everything in the room controlled by an iPad was super convenient. The rooms are on the small side, so it’s nice that there’s a lounge where you can relax or hang out with friends.
