Our room was perfect for my husband, our 19-year-old son, and me for one night. It was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged. The bathroom had room to get dressed privately. There were outlets beside the dressing table for a hairdryer and other things, which should be obvious but sadly is not always the case. There was a small dishwasher, a washer-dryer, and even tablets to use in them. Iain at reception is lovely and very helpful. It was fantastic value, and we will be back.

When family come to stay from Inverness, Native is now the only hotel we put them in. My mum loves how spacious the rooms are. Even the studio rooms have more space than most city center hotels. The one- and two-bedroom apartments feel like a home away from home and have usable kitchens, which suits my dad, who cooks even when on holiday. Highly recommended.

Excellent location in the center of Glasgow. The rooms were very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and the hotel does a great job of keeping noise out. A free drink in the downstairs bar was a nice touch too. Great value, and we will be back.

We booked this serviced apartment for 20 nights. A couple of staff members, Ian and another female employee, were very kind and helpful, but the overall stay was disappointing because of serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. We repeatedly raised these with staff throughout our stay, starting just days after we arrived. There was visible black mold in the shower. After we reported it, we were offered a room change, but all three alternative units we viewed also had mold. This was especially concerning because I have asthma and am immunocompromised. During the stay, I developed several rashes and took photos as evidence. Other TripAdvisor reviews from the last few months also describe mold in rooms. There was also mold on a pillowcase, which we reported. Staff said replacement linens were in limited supply, though they eventually brought us a new pillow. A bath towel provided as "clean" had yellow streaks, and we took photos. The bed was so uncomfortable that the floor might have been just as good. The most serious problem happened when the shower hose fixture broke while I was using it. It cut my hand and sprayed high-pressure water onto the ceiling. We contacted the front desk on WhatsApp and got no response, but a handyman arrived at our room without warning to replace it. The fire alarm was routinely tested, but it also went off randomly several times during our stay. Everyone had to leave their rooms and work out what was happening. Before posting this review, we tried to contact Native management. They said they would contact the location manager, but we never heard back. Based on our experience, this property did not meet reasonable standards for hygiene, safety, or long-term accommodation. Update #1: The on-site manager eventually contacted me by email, dismissed most of the issues, and offered a refund for one night. I contacted him again to stress how serious the problems were, but he ignored me. Update #2: We also posted this review on TripAdvisor. In his response, the on-site manager blatantly lied by saying we had been offered a no-cost cancellation and a full refund for unused nights. That was never offered. Although we raised many problems with staff, we did not hear from this manager, Joseph Barrie, until after we had left. He also minimizes our concerns because we were offered a room change and chose to stay in our original room. We stayed because every other room we saw also had black mold. Staff even apologized and said they had recently hired a contractor who clearly used the wrong grout for the showers, and that they would arrange repairs. Apparently, that work happened after we left. Update #3: Since we booked through Booking.com, we asked them to investigate. They asked us to upload evidence of everything that happened during our stay, which we did. Booking.com sent several emails saying the property refused to resolve the matter with them, so Booking.com gave us a $500 credit for its site. We are still waiting for the one-night refund the manager promised, though I doubt we will receive it. Based on other reviews, we may not be the first guests to have this experience either.

Our recent stay at Native Glasgow was fabulous. The staff kindly stored our luggage when we arrived very early in the morning. The suite was comfortable and very clean, and we liked having a small kitchenette and a large shower. The hotel is very conveniently located. We took the bus to and from Glasgow airport, and the stop is a two-minute walk away, as is the Hop On/Hop Off bus stop. Buchanan Street is just around the corner too. There is a nice bar in the basement, and the neighboring restaurants and bars were great as well. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Glasgow!
