Premier Inn Glasgow - Bearsden
About this property
Stay at the Premier Inn Hotel Glasgow Bearsden and you'll be in pole position for the walkers' favourite, the West Highland Way. But it's not all footpaths and countryside, in fact you're perfectly located for a spot of retail therapy in Glasgow and Edinburgh too. Hotfoot it to Glasgow city centre for some great shopping or to catch some live music. Or stride out towards Ben Nevis on the West Highland Way. Stroll over to some fascinating days out like the Science Centre or the Riverside Museum, then put your feet up and enjoy some mouth-watering food, followed by a nice comfy bed. All reservations placed at this hotel are subject to Premier Inn’s standard Terms and Conditions, which can be found at premierinn. com

I keep coming back because the location is handy, though I can't say I like staying here. The staff are polite and helpful when needed, and the rooms have been fine on the few times I've stayed, but they could use a refresh. The building feels very tired inside and out: weeds are growing in the car park and gardens, and the entrance, hall, stairs and corridors all look scruffy. A shame.

Gemma checked us in on the ground floor when the lifts were out of order. She was cheerful, chatty and helpful with information, a credit to Premier. She also spoke highly of the food, though we'd already eaten and didn't try it. The room was as expected, clean and well kept, with soap, tea and coffee, a kettle, TV and batteries in the remote.

Good value, with plenty of room and friendly staff. The lift wasn't working, but luckily my room was on the ground floor, so I had a comfortable stay.

We were ill with food poisoning and needed somewhere at very short notice. They let us check in early and were kind and helpful while we were recovering. The location was handy too, with a restaurant right across the road, then a McDonald's and three supermarkets on the corner. There was even a dry cleaner nearby.

The airport approach passes close to the site, which could be an issue in very warm weather. Otherwise, my room was clean and spacious, and I liked the breakfast room, with both full and continental options. Supper is available in the on-site restaurant, though booking ahead seems sensible, especially at weekends. Staff were polite and helpful.
