The only real plus was the location. Our family room was cramped, with just one side table; one charging point didn't work, and the bedside only had a C charger socket, no plug socket. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling, and all the skirting boards were mouldy and damaged. The condiments were set out for two despite there being four of us, and we had to ask for extra cups and other things. I asked three times for extra pillows; someone said they'd bring them, but they never came. At breakfast the restaurant air con made it freezing until we asked for it to be turned off. The food was cold, and there were no clear labels for anyone with allergies. The service was really disappointing.

Darren went out of his way to make us comfortable, and we'll always be grateful. We came from Neath in south wales because of a family emergency: my mother-in-law was taken ill. After visiting the hospital, we arrived around midnight. Darren checked us in, carried our luggage to the room, and was just a lovely person. Sadly, my mother-in-law passed away a few hours later. Darren was understanding and told us someone would be there to let us back in whenever we needed. The hotel was conveniently close to my father-in-law's place. Once the funeral arrangements are sorted, we'll return to Glasgow and won't hesitate to book here again. The staff really do go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The staff were wonderful and we had a very good stay. It's easy to find, with a large car park that's free for customers. The location is outside Glasgow LEZ zone, so no worries about fines. Breakfast starts at 0630, which was handy for an early departure.

The room was a good size and had a nice modern bathroom. But there's no getting past the lack of plug sockets by either side of the bed, which is a huge inconvenience. They were short-staffed one day, so our room wasn't cleaned.
